Are you looking to pitch your story to Modern Healthcare? You maximize your chances of getting your story in front of the right person by sending press releases and inquiries to the reporter whose beat includes your subject area. This is especially true for features and trend stories or if you're looking to promote particular experts within your organization.

We do not publish unsolicited news articles or “byline” articles from outside firms. All of our editorial content is developed by our own staff or commissioned from freelance writers.

Modern Healthcare is committed to reporting on stories about healthcare organizations that are transforming themselves and the healthcare system into one that delivers higher quality, safer, more patient-centric and more affordable care. 

Thank you for your interest in submitting a commentary to Modern Healthcare. We are always interested in submissions from healthcare leaders. We prefer submissions from senior executives of healthcare systems and hospitals, insurers and high-ranking government officials, but do not automatically rule out others from sending in commentaries.

Due to the large number of submissions, we cannot pre-review ideas or guarantee publication for any submission. We do give every submission careful consideration, and if we are interested, you will be contacted.

Commentaries should be 650 words in length. They should avoid touting specific vendors or proprietary solutions. Those that are timely and avoid jargon have a better chance of publication. Any article submitted to us must be original and exclusive to Modern Healthcare.
